Ranking Algorithm Basics

Opponent Strength

Tier Placement
Based on the combined metrics above, players are assigned to tiers (e.g., Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, etc.). Tier boundaries are set to create meaningful skill distinctions across the competitive ladder.
Regional Rankings
We organize rankings by region to account for server location and player population differences. This ensures fair comparison within your competitive community while still showing global perspective.
Game Mode Separation

How often do rankings change?
Rankings update in real-time as matches complete. If you play a match and win, your rank can update immediately. However, tier promotions and demotions may take a few matches to stabilize, depending on the consistency scoring algorithm.
Why am I not seeing my rank?
New players need to complete a minimum number of matches before appearing in rankings. This prevents rank inflation from players with minimal data. Once you've played enough matches, your tier will appear on the leaderboard.
Can I see the algorithm details?

How do regional rankings work?
